Eye Track is a new CD-ROM that contains a range of fun and motivational activities to support learners experiencing difficulty with visual perception. Eye Track is designed to support and develop fine and gross motor skills alongside basic ICT skills. The clear cause and effect activities will improve and develop visual perception and encourage verbal communication. This software addresses a systematic overview to support and develop the complex, but basic decoding skills necessary to progress in reading, writing and maths.
Eye Track has been developed for young children from the age of three, as well as supporting older learners with attentional, dyslexic or dyspraxic difficulties. Developed by teachers and occupational therapists, it concentrates on the following skills of visual perception:
- Discrimination,
- Memory,
- Sequential memory,
- Spatial relationships,
- Form consistency,
- Figure ground and
- Closure perception.
The learner is encouraged to complete activities, in order to recapture the lovable rogue Ronnie Retina, who has escaped from his prison cell. Supported by printable worksheets and clip art, this is a unique CD-ROM. Each activity has five levels of difficulty and will keep learners engrossed while addressing vital areas of development.
