Unifix materials were first developed in England in 1953, and are used in classrooms worldwide. Manipulative materials can help students "come to grips" with difficult concepts. Made of polyethylene plastic, Unifix blocks are sturdy and interlocking and come in ten strong colours for easy identification. This book contains a variety of ideas for making the best use of Unifix. These materials are often used only with young children but can be used with older children to help develop mathematical thinking.
