Product Description
A board game designed to practice the basic multiplication facts from 2 - 9. The player performs the basic multiplication and notes the ones digit. This tells the player how far to move along the drain.
One player monitors all calculations using the plumbing specifications sheet (a tables chart that clearly shows the ones digit).
Students who require extra support to play the game could be given a specification sheet to help them. As they learn various facts these may be coloured over with black marker pen, thus providing an indication of which facts have been learned and those still to be learned. Various patterns may be pointed out, such as:
- When multiplying by 5 the answer will end on 5 or 0
- When numbers are multiplied by 2, they will end in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8, that is, they are even numbers
- The digits in the 3 x table add to make 3, 6, or 9
- The digits in the 9 x table add to make 9
- Doubling the 2 x table will produce the 4 x table and doubling again will produce the 8 x tables
- Doubling the 3 x table will produce the 6 x table
