Most teachers acknowledge that many childrens difficulties with mathematics stem from difficulties with language. Often children experience difficulty completing tests, such as WALNA, because they either cannot read the question or do not understand the mathematical words that are used. The first half of the book contains simple definitions and explanations of most maths terms, along with examples and illustrations. The second half of the book contains a variety of tables and other useful information organised in a simple manner.
